To New York

Posted on 3rd March 2014 by admin in Blog

In various rooms in the Cleveleys area people are going to meet to listen to the same thoughts, ideas and opinions, and use them, alongside Bible passages, to realise they have been called by the same God to know know him through their relationship with his Son. These are the Lent bible studies organised by Cleveleys Churches Together, using the York Course, over the next five weeks.

We won’t agree with every thought, but we will all learn something, and have our perspectives changed. Often by what someone says, not necessarily from the various materials.

It’s an adventure, and I hope those who have signed up take it as an adventure. Attitude and expectation are so important in allowing God to work through us.

Lent is a time of looking forward. How about giving up looking back for 40 days! I don’t mean forget the past, but it is about letting Hope, and not Grief, be what we latch on to, expect to find, discover and hold fast to.

Love the title Pastor Stef…it’s a very clever pun.
