If someone is staring at something, it is really difficult to stop yourself looking to see what it is they are looking at. And if you spot it, and are curious, you end up staring at the same thing, equally transfixed. Before long, a crowd will have gathered.
I met a man today who, looking at Blackpool, realises it is a place of great need. He realises that it is where Jesus would naturally be found. What he can see is church leaders meeting, weekly, to pray. (There are other people who can see the same thing.) This person I met has got me to see and stare. I want and intend to be there.
For now, can you look and keep an eye on the same thing? Some need to stare, so others can see. Some need to see so that they can go and be the sight.
This is how Blackpool will be changed.
If you are reading this, and you are in the place where we are looking, please tell us, so we can come and join you.
