What does ‘cuddly’ make you think of? Teddy bear, puppy, baby… or dinosaur?
We were changing the song ‘Thank you Lord’ at pre-school this week from ‘One Fine Day’ to ‘Mums,’ ‘Dads,’ even ‘Dogs and Fish’ but we stopped short of singing ‘Thank You Lord for Dinosaurs.’ Shame, shame, I can hear you shouting at your screens.
But then again, it could have been spiders or worms. It is quite interesting what young people find so appealing.
But then again, a man on a cross, my sin upon his shoulders, the searing pain. That’s who we put at the end of the line.
And yet, how can we not embrace the son of God who died that we might live.
But (3rd one!!) it is not the pain or the cross we embrace him for, but the love in his eyes that meant that he willingly embraced the cross, never once losing sight of the goal he came to achieve. No wonder the devils fear and fly.
Thank You LORD for Jesus Christ.
