I may have said that I like puzzles – I’m at the stage where I can’t remember what I’ve already referred to in blogs this year. My favourite puzzle book was not there among the other varieties in WHSmith at a service recently, and missing again when I looked on the way back. Must be just in high street stores, I told myself.
Oh, there doesn’t seem to be any in the high street. I know, I’ll google it, and see it it has been discontinued.
It hasn’t! October issue hitting the shelves soon. Mini and Mega versions. Hmm.
Look again, and it is so conspicuous by its absence.
So I ask, and the person turns round, and there they are. Not in the puzzle section. In fact, I’m still not sure what section they are in.
What’s the moral of the story? Well, it isn’t ‘Get Your House Shop In Order.’
Seek, and you shall find (OK so far),
ASK, and you shall receive…
Typical Man!
(thought I’d get that comment in myself, before somebody else does…)
Well you said it Stef!!
However we all know how hard it is for a man to actually *ask* for help so well done for doing that 🙂
Shops have a habit, especially at this time of year, of changing all the shelves around, so you can never find what you want, when you *know* it was there last week. I was in M&S today and got totally confused (easily done!) when I went down to the basement and found what appeared to be partition walls where there was open space last week. I then had to circumnavigate my way around the food hall to get myself into a place I recognised….the cafe! However, when I’d had my coffee and returned to the food hall, some of the partitions had gone and someone had moved the trolleys….they were now hidden behind yet another partition! I don’t think I’ve ever done my shopping so quickly and couldn’t wait to get out and get my mind into some semblance of normality again 🙂
Seek and ye shall find indeed, but also God moves in mysterious ways, because I am assured that all this alteration is to make my shopping experience easier and more pleasant.
The jury is still out :-)x
Exactly the same in Morrisons at the moment – I am told it is to make way for a new fruit/veg/flower experience but EVERYTHING in the store is changing places! I used to be able to do the shopping without thinking too hard but now it’s like one of Steph’s puzzles as to where something is. Has anyone else noticed that the prices creep up when they do that too!
Good job God never changes, the same yesterday, today and F O R E V E R and we are blessed to have immediate access to Him at all times.
I went to WH Smith’s to buy my TV Times on Wednesday. I could find one, but not the one I wanted. I started to look through the other magazines “Hello” and “Look” etc.no luck. ” Seek and Ye shall find”, yes I did find it only not in it’s ususl place though but higher up on the top shelf. When it is in it’s usual place I have no trouble reaching it, but on the top shelf, well you can imagine how I have to struggle, can’t you unless there is a tall kind gentleman nearby!! No comments Stef, please!
God Bless x
Good things come in small packages Ethel!!!!
Thanks Joan!!
