Funny what you end up talking about at Bible Study Group. I found out that there are, and have been, plans to re-open the train line between Poulton and Fleetwood. Whether these are simply dreams of local people, or an inevitability just waiting for the right time, the possibility lives on.
Some train lines I have known have become cycle paths, others by-passes. The train lines are just memories, that live on in people’s memories and photographs.
But what we really talked about was Jesus. He lives on, not just in conversations, and discussions of who he was, but in changed lives. This is what we have shared over the past five weeks.
The tracks Jesus leaves do not destroy the landscape, but place it into a new light, draw out the features and bring them to life, and make God’s presence visible within it.
Possibilities become realities.
He did say I am The Way Truth Life.
