When my computer turns on, and it gets to the stage where it is ‘awake,’ before it really has your attention, it lets all the different things on it check for updates, and allows them priority, before me, to make their little personal changes.
They tell me it is all for my benefit, because some of them let me know that they are done, and expect they are looking for me to be grateful. I think I am. They are quite clever!
Some things are more recent. For example, DropBox. Think of it like this: somewhere ‘out there’ there is a big All Saints Box. If you’ve been invited, you can have it on your computer. When someone puts something new in the box, it appears on your computer too! If you drop something in, everyone else can have it. My diary is like that now – if I change it on my phone, my computer can catch up with it when it can access the internet. Basically, it updates the contents of my computer to what is really there.
Have you followed that? Good. Then you can understand what we found the ‘Freedom In Christ’ course to be about – or at least how I heard it.
