Time And Relative Dimensions In Space, otherwise know as bigger on the inside than the outside.
Have been noticing this at All Saints recently. Take today for example. We didn’t fill the building when we met for our services, but if you think about what you remembered from this morning or this evening, and more particularly who said or did those things, then I’m guessing God has spoken to you through individuals and actions that you weren’t expecting, or where surprised by. It could have been something from any of the dozen or so people who were involved in leading worship today, any of the musicians, young or old before during or after the services. For someone it continued after the morning service, with their youngster shouting ‘Jesus loves you’ to everyone who passed by as they were filling up at the petrol station. It is getting so much bigger inside.
Ministry is coming from all directions and people, as it should. Ministry is being shared across churches. Ministry is being shared from house to house (TC is finding herself starting to initiate Healing in the Home!)
And God is so different on the inside. Real, Loving, Transforming, Challenging, Connecting… You can’t see very much from the outside at all. But it is the door with the handle that is the key part. Or maybe you see an outstretched hand. Or a welcoming smile.
The door opens as you step closer. All are welcome into Jesus.
