What happens at Soul Survivor?
Well, as a first timer, my growing beard stark witness to the fact I am not a ‘delegate’ but a bringer of others, I would say simply people get loved.
Partly by the facilities that are provided – the cafes, chill out zones, night club, sports facilities, and stuff like that – not least of which is phone-charging facilities.
Partly by accessible worship, but morely by never being patronised or spoken down to. The geezer who leads it being serious, honest, silly, but focused always on Jesus, whom he loves desperately – and the younger leaders following suit.
But mainly by everyone agreeing that the Holy Spirit is welcome, and allowing Him corporate and personal freedom to work. Soul Survivor is a place to encounter God.
The great thing is we all have responsibility, as these young people return, to make sense together of what God has done, is doing, will do. Gifts (opportunities) for us.
That’s what happens after Soul Survivor.
