Welcome to All Saints Anchorsholme
The Church with the anchor
All Saints, Anchorsholme is an evangelical Anglican Church, in Blackpool, Lancashire, UK, built in 1962. It has a regular congregation of about 150 adults and 50 young people on Sunday mornings and 60 on Sunday evenings. We are only a mile beyond the northern end of the famous Blackpool Illuminations, and less than a mile south from the centre of Cleveleys on North Drive. You’ll not miss us if you look out for the large black anchor weighing two tons and about eight feet high in front of the church.
Services are very informal. The Music Ministry Team lead the worship in song at the 10.30 and 6.30, mixing known and newly written worship songs. At the 9.00am service expect mainly traditional hymns. Many members of the congregation participate in leading worship at both the 10.30 am and 6.30 pm services, sharing their own faith and experiences.
The preaching is biblical and aims to both encourage and challenge us to put Jesus Christ at the centre of our lives.
There are creche facilities for the 10.30 am morning service. A cup of tea or coffee is served in church from 10.00 am for those who have come at the 9.00am, and those arriving for the 10.30am. You will be given a warm northern welcome.
Also meeting at 10.30 am is Adventurers for children from age 3-10, Eureka for 11-14s and ‘The Group with no name’ for 14s and over.
